Did he ever lead mass protest marches against secular authorities? Did He start a riot when Herod showed blatant disregard for human life by beheading John the Baptist? No, He simply and privately mourned for John (Matthew 14:13). ![]() But we would never be justified in looting, and burning businesses. We could all probably list hundreds of things we don’t like about society. Would we want our children to lash out in this way? Our grandchildren? But a more foundational question for believers is “Why do people respond violently when things don’t go the way they like or want?” Christians should not applaud such behavior. Why is this all happening? You may answer that people are tired of racism and oppression in this country and the death of George Floyd was the spark that ignited the inevitable inferno that we see burning all across this nation. NYT Magazine reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones wrote in defense of angry people burning and looting America-“Destroying property, which can be replaced, is not violence.” The Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey said, “Yes, America is burning, but that’s how forests grow.” The Atlantic’s Amanda Mull wrote, “Riots are, at their core, a choice made by those in power, not people who participate in them.” People are getting fired for stating the plain and simple truth that “All Lives Matter,” or for not saying anything because in some people’s opinion “White Silence Is Violence.” This line of thinking causes me very grave concern. Some cities are disbanding their police departments. The trend sweeping our nation has been to turn against our police and military and to trample the rule of law. Isaiah the prophet was right when he wrote “There is no peace.” (Isaiah 57:21)Īnd what is the response by those in the public spotlight? We have people kneeling, not for God (Esther 3:5), but in order to honor people acting out in angry defiance. That would be troubling enough, but it is apparent that almost nobody is being held to substantive account for their actions. Some of these people are breaking windows, looting and destroying businesses, overturning police cars, halting and harassing traffic, defacing monuments and memorials, burning down buildings, and openly assaulting (and even killing) innocent bystanders. Tens of thousands of protesters pack themselves like sardines on bridges, boulevards, highways, and turnpikes while garnering the full support of politicians, celebrities and some Christian leaders even though we are still being told by these same leaders we can’t have church gatherings due to the risk of “Covid” spread. Malice and lawlessness dominate our big cities. I marvel at how our country survives wave after wave of such devastating blows. on Monday, March 16 at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.I didn’t think it was possible, but the events of the last two weeks have surpassed the “Covid” crisis in terms of causing mass upheaval and harm to our nation. The data we collected with MouseTester also shows that the sensor’s max polling rate is 1000Hz, as advertised. Even on the millisecond scale, the mouse’s wireless connection doesn’t seem to hinder the sensor from shining. ![]() Impressively, while connected wirelessly, the Harpoon RGB Wireless’ PMW3325 produced smoother curves with fewer irregularities than the PMW3391 in the wired Ironclaw. The data collection process involves speedily sweeping a mouse back and forth. If there’s anything strange going on with the data coming from a mouse, MouseTester is a handy way to sniff it out by mapping raw data onto comprehensible graphs. I use CS :GO for this test because you can enable raw input and disable mouse acceleration in the settings. When moving back and forth between two books, the crosshair consistently targeted the same two bullet holes in the CS :GO training grounds. The PMW3325 also showed itself to have zero innate mouse acceleration in my one-to-one tracking test. Unsurprisingly, I was unable to make the sensor lose tracking or spin out. ![]() Both the sensor and the wireless connection seem to be reliable. I never noticed any kind of delay or connectivity issue at all. When using a wireless mouse, you have to consider the sensor in conjunction with the speed of the wireless connection, but the Harpoon RGB Wireless served me well in the twitchy, high-adrenaline FPS, Ironsight. However, unless you’d like to set your CPI higher than 10,000, the PMW3325 shouldn’t let you down. The sensor in the Harpoon RGB Wireless is designated as the PMW3325 and has a max CPI of 10,000, as opposed to the PMW3391’s 18,000 max CPI. The Ironclaw’s PMW3391 sensor is presumably a variant of Pixart’s PMW3360, and the Harpoon RGB Wireless seems to have a PMW3360 variant as well, but not the same one as the Ironclaw. Hopefully, this connectivity problem is just a software or firmware blunder and can be fixed with an update in the near future. I had this issue with multiple systems, so if you plan to use this mouse in Bluetooth mode with a particular device, I advise keeping the wireless receiver away from any of its USB ports. However, there seems to be a problem with devices recognizing the Harpoon RGB Wireless in Bluetooth mode if they’ve connected to it before using the USB receiver. The mouse has 2.4GHz Bluetooth capability, as well. When it’s time to go wireless, pop open the small compartment on the bottom of the mouse that stores the small, 2.4GHz wireless USB receiver. You can keep it plugged in and use it as a wired mouse while it charges. The Harpoon RGB Wireless comes with a six-foot braided cable with a micro-USB connector on one end and a USB Type-A connector on the other end. The side buttons are pretty well positioned, but they’d be pretty much perfect if the back button was moved downward just a little. The Omron switches under the left and right mouse buttons, CPI cycle button, and side buttons feel pleasantly clicky. Unfortunately, the scroll wheel doesn’t have side scrolling functionality. I’d prefer more pronounced detents, but that’s just a personal preference. It has a slight rattle if you shake it, but the scroll wheel feels solidly secured into the mouse. I was hopeful when I saw that the Harpoon RGB Wireless had a different scroll wheel than the Ironclaw, and my hopes were mostly upheld. Even so, I can see it as a great companion mouse for gaming laptops, because its small size and wireless capability make it quite portable. I prefer larger mice that I can grasp firmly with a palm grip. I found the shape to be comfortable, but because of its small size, I tended to grip the mouse in a kind of pseudo claw grip. It’s small, though not tiny, measuring 4.6″ x 2.7″ x 1.6″ (LxWxH). It’s a big jump down in size from the Ironclaw. The Harpoon RGB Wireless, as a whole, feels rock solid, though the scroll wheel rattles very lightly if you give the mouse a good shake. The top of the mouse is adorned with a lightly textured plastic and is designed to help you maintain your grip even while sweaty. A slight rubberized texture coats the sides of the mouse, also helping increase the grip. ![]() The final review will focus on Corsair’s M65 RGB Elite gaming mouse, where the MM350 mouse pad will also make an appearance.īesides the RGB LEDs, the Harpoon RGB Wireless is clothed in black. ![]() Most likely this was done by somebody who does not understand the difference between raster and vector images and was told their designer needed something that ended with one of those file extensions. jpg into Illustrator and save it as an eps or ai file. However, occasionally people will just paste a. cdr files only probably a vector? Well, 99% of the time a file saved as an eps or ai file is a vector. But if you want to be a sweetheart and help them out, here’s a handy guide to file extensions. Worst case scenario, your designer can tell you. Higher-end print jobs are done at 450 or 600 dpi, meaning your 300-pixel jpg might only be half an inch wide, and if it’s not a vector, scaling it larger will result in a pixelated image and an overall decrease in quality. Print jobs are done at a minimum of 300 dpi, which means a 300-pixel wide jpg is only going to be an inch wide. Even if you have a large jpg of your logo, it’s necessary to have a vector that can be scaled to any size. Most often, they’ll need your logo as a vector. If a designer has asked you for a vector image, it’s probably because they need something scalable. Most importantly, it is very easy to turn a vector image into a raster image but nearly impossible to turn a raster image into a vector. Since a smaller amount of information is being saved (basically just the formula for how to create the image) vector file sizes are usually much smaller than their raster counterparts. On the other hand, a vector is infinitely scalable so you can use the same image on anything from a button to a billboard. Rasters images also handle complicated photo effects better than vectors. Because every section is made up of hundreds of pixels, you get a greater level of detail. Raster images are better when things need to be photorealistic. Like an architectural blueprint, or a color by numbers, or some big, weird, wiry giant skeleton that is crushing buildings, but it only wants to understand love. Think of it as color and form draped over a scalable wireframe skeleton. With vector handles shown, you can see how the image is put together. This is because it’s made up of shapes, not pixels. Notice that no quality is lost when we zoom into the image. For this reason, vector images are flexible at any scale. Each element of the vector has a mathematical set of rules, so when you scale it, the equation is merely recalculated at the current size. Vector images are made up of mathematically defined geometric shapes: lines, filled areas, curves, etc. While a raster image is made up of individual pixels, a vector image is made up of lines. Any digital photograph, for example, looks like the thing it’s a photo of, but if you zoom in as far as possible, it is just a series of colored squares – kind of like a mosaic, or a Seurat painting, or an extremely coordinated crowd at a football game. A raster image is made up of tiny dots called pixels that from far away (or zoomed out) looks like something. RASTERĮvery digital image falls into one of two categories: a vector image, and a raster image. What in the heck does that mean? You already sent them the jpg, so what more could they possibly want?! Well, here’s an explanation: VECTOR vs. In this blog we explain how you can do this. So, you’ve hired a designer to make your website, flyer, brochure or novelty dog bib (a surprising percentage of our business) and now they’re asking for a vector version of your logo. ![]() Making a vector file from a photo is possible.
